Wild elk once roamed throughout the southern Appalachian Mountains but were eliminated by unregulated hunting and changes in land use practices. In 2001 and 2002, the National park Service reintroduced a small number of elk to Cataloochee Valley in the Smokies. Since then the park’s elk population has grown to over 150. This souvenir t-shirt features the Great Smoky Mountains skyline with a single bull elk. T-shirt made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton.

All proceeds generated through the sale of Great Smoky Mountains Association merchandise go to Great Smoky Mountains National Park to support projects and services.
