Discover Life in America is a nonprofit organization managing the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory, an initiative to catalog every species living in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Since 1998, nearly 10,000 species new to the park have been discovered, as well as more than 1,000 species completely new to science.
